transmission systems
Data delivery networks
Transmission systems are networks that convey something from one point to another.
In electrical engineering, they're the infrastructure—power lines, transformers, substations—that moves electricity from generating plants to distribution networks.
In telecommunications, transmission systems carry signals across distances via cables, fiber optics, or radio waves.
In vehicles, the transmission system transfers engine power to the wheels: The car's transmission system needs repair.
