town events
Local public gatherings
Town events are organized public activities hosted by or for a local community—festivals, parades, meetings, holiday celebrations, farmers markets.
The phrase often appears on municipal calendars and community boards: Check the town events page for the fireworks schedule.
In video games, especially life simulators, town events are scripted gatherings that trigger on certain dates or conditions.
