tin oxide
Pottery glaze compound
Tin oxide is a chemical compound of tin and oxygen, existing in two main forms.
Stannous oxide (SnO) is used in glass production.
Stannic oxide (SnO₂), also called tin dioxide, appears as a white powder used in ceramics, glass coatings, and as a polishing agent.
Both forms serve as components in glazes and enamels.
