thought-out

Given due consideration

Thought-out describes something that has been carefully considered or planned.

It almost always appears with a modifier: a well-thought-out proposal shows careful planning, while a poorly thought-out scheme reveals inadequate consideration.

The hyphenated form functions as an adjective before nouns; without hyphens, it's the past participle of think out: We hadn't thought out the consequences.
