Lowest travel grade
Third-class describes the lowest tier in a ranked system, originally referring to the cheapest accommodations on ships and trains: third-class passengers, a third-class ticket.
By extension, it means inferior or substandard: They treated us like third-class citizens.
In postal systems, third-class mail is a category for bulk items like advertisements, cheaper and slower than first-class.
