tepidity
Neither hot nor cold
Tepidity is the quality of being lukewarm—neither hot nor cold.
The word applies literally to liquids at an underwhelming temperature: the tepidity of the bathwater.
More often it describes halfhearted enthusiasm or weak commitment: The proposal met with tepidity from the board.
Tepidity suggests a disappointing lack of passion or conviction.
