tenantless
Lacking any occupants
Tenantless means having no tenant or occupant.
The word applies to rental properties standing empty, but also to any space that could be inhabited but isn't: a tenantless apartment building, tenantless offices in the downtown core.
Literary usage extends to figurative emptiness: a tenantless heart.
