temperature sensitive
Changes with warmth
Temperature sensitive describes something that changes, reacts, or degrades when exposed to certain temperatures.
The term appears most often in shipping and storage contexts—medications, vaccines, and biological samples are temperature sensitive and require climate control: Keep temperature-sensitive items refrigerated.
Materials or devices may also be temperature sensitive, functioning only within a narrow range.
