tea filter
Infuser for leaves
A tea filter is a small mesh or perforated container that holds loose tea leaves while steeping, allowing water to flow through while keeping the leaves contained.
Unlike a tea ball or infuser, which is typically spherical and clips shut, a tea filter often refers to a basket-style strainer that sits in the cup or pot: I placed the tea filter in my mug and poured hot water over the leaves.
Disposable paper tea filters function like empty tea bags you fill yourself.
