tea-light

Small metal-cupped candle

A tea-light is a small, squat candle in a thin metal or plastic cup, designed to burn for a few hours.

The name comes from their traditional use warming teapots, though they now appear in decorative holders, lanterns, and aromatherapy diffusers: She scattered tea-lights around the bathtub.

Also spelled tealight.
