tax resister
Fiscal obligation defier
A tax resister is someone who refuses to pay taxes as a form of protest, typically against government policies or war spending.
Unlike tax evaders who hide income for personal gain, tax resisters act openly on principle, often accepting legal consequences: Tax resisters withheld the portion of their income tax that would fund military operations.
