tandem skydiving
Harnessed instructor jump
Tandem skydiving is a form of skydiving where a novice jumper is harnessed to an experienced instructor who controls the parachute and guides the descent.
It allows first-timers to experience freefall without extensive training: For my fortieth birthday, I went tandem skydiving.
The instructor handles deployment and landing while the passenger enjoys the ride.
