tabbed browsing
Multiple pages open
Tabbed browsing is a web browser feature that displays multiple pages within a single window, each accessible through a labeled tab along the top.
Before tabbed browsing became standard in the early 2000s, each webpage required its own window.
Now users routinely keep dozens of tabs open: I have so many tabs open my browser is lagging.
