sum total
Everything added together
The sum total is the complete amount when everything is added together.
The phrase is slightly redundant—sum already implies a total—but the doubling adds emphasis: The sum total of my savings wouldn't cover a month's rent.
Often used to stress completeness or, ironically, inadequacy: That's the sum total of what I know about it.
