Foldable shaving blades
Straight razors are shaving instruments with a long blade that folds into the handle, used before safety razors became standard.
They require skill to use and maintain—the blade must be stropped before each shave and periodically honed.
Also called cut-throat razors in British English.
Barbers still use them for close shaves and clean edges: He prefers a straight razor shave.
