stitched up

Wound properly sealed

Stitched up has two distinct meanings.

Medical wounds get stitched up when closed with sutures: The doctor stitched up the gash on his arm.

In British slang, to stitch someone up is to frame them or manipulate a situation to make them appear guilty: He claimed he'd been stitched up by the police.

The past participle works as an adjective in both senses.
