stay classy

Keep your composure

Stay classy is a parting phrase urging someone to maintain dignity or good behavior, often used ironically.

Sincere use suggests keeping one's composure: Stay classy out there.

But the phrase more often mocks someone who has already behaved badly, or serves as a sardonic sign-off after witnessing something tacky: Wow, screaming at the waiter. Stay classy.
