Grudge-built dwelling
A spite house is a building constructed or modified primarily to annoy a neighbor or other party—blocking their view, cutting off their light, or otherwise creating an obstruction or eyesore out of pure malice.
Such structures are often narrow, oddly shaped, or positioned in ways that make sense only as acts of revenge: He built a spite house right against her property line after she complained about his fence.
