Soy wax is a vegetable wax made from soybean oil, used primarily in candle-making as an alternative to paraffin.
It burns cleaner and longer than petroleum-based waxes: I switched to soy wax candles because they don't produce as much soot.
Soy wax also appears in cosmetics and food coatings.
