soupiness
Overly watery consistency
Soupiness is the quality of being soupy—watery, thick, or resembling soup in consistency.
Weather can have a soupiness when fog or humidity makes the air feel dense: The soupiness of the August afternoon was unbearable.
The word also describes excessive sentimentality: The film's soupiness made it hard to take seriously.
