A soft block is a way of limiting someone's access to your social media without fully blocking them.
Unlike a hard block, which prevents all interaction, a soft block typically involves unfollowing and removing someone as a follower without alerting them—often done by blocking and immediately unblocking.
The goal is to create distance without confrontation: I didn't want drama so I just soft blocked him.
