social login
Platform-based authentication option
Social login is a method of signing into a website or app using credentials from an existing account—typically Google, Facebook, Apple, or another major platform—rather than creating a new username and password.
It simplifies registration and reduces password fatigue: Just click "Sign in with Google" instead of filling out the whole form.
The tradeoff is sharing data between services.
