slug pellets
Garden pest killer
Slug pellets are small poisonous granules scattered in gardens to kill slugs and snails.
The pellets contain molluscicides—typically metaldehyde or iron phosphate—that attract and kill these pests before they devour plants.
Gardeners sprinkle them around vulnerable seedlings and hostas: I put down slug pellets after the rain.
Some formulations are toxic to pets and wildlife.
