sliding shorts
Tight athletic underwear
Sliding shorts are padded compression shorts worn by baseball and softball players to protect the hips and thighs when sliding into bases.
The tight fit keeps protective padding in place during the slide while the smooth fabric reduces friction against the dirt.
Sometimes called slider shorts.
