skin prick test
Allergen needle check
A skin prick test is a diagnostic procedure for allergies in which small amounts of potential allergens are introduced into the skin, usually on the forearm or back, through tiny punctures.
If a raised, itchy bump develops at a site, the patient is likely allergic to that substance: The skin prick test showed she was allergic to dust mites and cat dander.
