sex comedy
Bawdy romantic farce
A sex comedy is a comedic film or play where humor derives primarily from sexual situations, romantic misunderstandings, and erotic entanglements.
The genre trades in innuendo, seduction, mistaken intentions, and characters caught in compromising positions: The 1980s produced dozens of forgettable teen sex comedies.
The tone ranges from bawdy farce to sophisticated wit.
