service years
Time in position
Service years are the duration of time someone has worked for an organization or served in a position.
The term appears most often in employment and military contexts, where accumulated service years determine benefits, pensions, and eligibility for retirement: After twenty service years, she qualified for a full pension.
In some religious traditions, service years may refer to time spent in missionary or ministerial work.
