secret character
Concealed fictional identity
A secret character is an unlockable playable figure in a video game, hidden until certain conditions are met—completing the story, achieving high scores, or entering specific codes.
The term extends to any concealed option in games or software: I finally unlocked all the secret characters in Smash Bros.
The thrill lies in discovery and the reward for dedication.
