satanic ritual

A satanic ritual is a ceremony or practice associated with the worship of Satan or adherence to Satanic beliefs.

The term ranges from actual religious observances by self-identified Satanists to sensationalized accusations.

In the 1980s and 1990s, satanic ritual abuse became a moral panic in which daycare workers and others faced accusations of bizarre crimes that investigations consistently failed to substantiate.
