sackful
What bags hold
A sackful is the amount that fills a sack, or roughly that quantity of something.
Like other container-based measurements (handful, bucketful), it suggests an approximate rather than precise amount.
We harvested three sackfuls of potatoes from the garden.
The word can also be used figuratively to suggest abundance: He arrived with a sackful of excuses.
