ride pillion

Behind the driver

To ride pillion is to sit behind the driver on a motorcycle or horse, occupying the secondary seat: She rode pillion on her boyfriend's bike.

The pillion is the passenger seat itself, positioned behind the main saddle.

The term is more common in British than American English.
