reunion special
Cast reconvenes onscreen
A reunion special is a television episode or film that reunites the cast of a show years after its original run ended.
The format typically combines new footage with nostalgia, as actors revisit characters or simply reminisce together: The Friends reunion special broke streaming records.
The term extends to any entertainment event built around reassembling a disbanded group—bands, sports teams, or theater casts.
