restimulated
Sparked once more
Restimulated means stimulated again after a period of inactivity or dormancy.
The term appears most often in scientific contexts—an immune response can be restimulated by re-exposure to an antigen, or dormant neurons can be restimulated to fire again: The cells were restimulated with the original peptide.
Outside technical use, it describes any renewal of activity or interest that had faded.
