reseason

Add more spices

To reseason is to season again.

Most often this applies to cast iron cookware, which requires periodic reapplication of oil heated to form a protective coating: The pan started sticking, so I had to reseason it.

Food can also be reseasoned if initial seasoning proves inadequate: Taste and reseason if needed.
