regional coverage
Area news scope
Regional coverage refers to the geographic area served by a broadcast signal, insurance plan, news outlet, or service provider.
A radio station might have regional coverage across three states.
An insurance policy with regional coverage works only within certain areas.
The term often contrasts with local coverage (smaller area) or national coverage (entire country): The network expanded from regional coverage to nationwide distribution.
