refittings
Renovations of vessels
Refittings are instances of refitting—renovating, reequipping, or restoring something to working order.
The term applies especially to ships and aircraft undergoing repairs or upgrades: The naval yard scheduled refittings for three destroyers.
Buildings and machinery also undergo refittings when updated with new equipment or systems.
