Recreational cycling is riding a bicycle for enjoyment, exercise, or leisure rather than transportation or competition.
Weekend rides through parks, scenic trails, or neighborhoods all qualify.
The activity ranges from casual pedaling to more vigorous fitness riding, but the defining feature is pleasure rather than purpose: We do some recreational cycling on the weekends.
