recoiler
One who shrinks
A recoiler is a person or thing that recoils—draws back in fear, disgust, or surprise.
In industrial contexts, a recoiler is machinery that winds material back onto a spool or coil after processing: The steel passes through the mill and onto the recoiler.
The human sense is less common than the mechanical one.
