recentness
Quality of newness
Recentness is the quality of having occurred or appeared not long ago.
The word is serviceable but rarely chosen over *recency*, which dominates in both casual and technical contexts: the recency of the data, recency bias.
Recentness appears occasionally when recency feels too clinical: the recentness of their breakup made dinner awkward.
