Rapid charging is the process of recharging a battery at high speed, typically delivering significant capacity in minutes rather than hours.
The term appears most often with electric vehicles, where rapid charging stations can add substantial range during a brief stop: We found a rapid charging station and grabbed coffee while the car charged.
