rag curls
Cloth-strip styling method
Rag curls are curls formed by wrapping sections of damp hair around strips of fabric and leaving them to dry, typically overnight.
The method predates modern curling irons and produces soft, heatless curls: She put her daughter's hair up in rag curls before bed.
The technique remains popular for children's hair and period costumes.
