radiator hoses
Engine cooling tubes
Radiator hoses are the rubber tubes that carry coolant between a vehicle's engine and radiator.
The upper hose transfers hot coolant from the engine to the radiator; the lower hose returns cooled fluid.
They're a common point of failure in older cars—cracking, swelling, or springing leaks: The mechanic said I needed new radiator hoses.
