r-value
Right-side transient
An r-value is a measure of thermal resistance used in building and insulation materials—how well something resists heat flow.
Higher r-values indicate better insulating properties: The attic insulation has an r-value of 38.
In programming, an r-value is an expression that appears on the right side of an assignment, representing a value that can be read but not assigned to directly. (Also written R-value.)
