Four-wheeled floor gliding
Quad skating is roller skating on skates with four wheels arranged in a two-by-two configuration—two wheels in front, two in back—as opposed to inline skates where wheels form a single row.
The term distinguishes traditional roller skating from inline skating, which dominated in the 1990s: She prefers quad skating for the stability at the rink.
