push-button phone
Keypad telephone device
A push-button phone is a telephone with numbered buttons for dialing, as opposed to the rotary dial it replaced.
The design became standard by the 1980s and remained so until mobile phones took over.
The term now distinguishes older landline handsets from touchscreen smartphones: My grandmother still uses a push-button phone.
