publicity hounds
Spotlight-craving individuals
People who aggressively seek media attention and public recognition.
The hound metaphor suggests relentless pursuit—someone who chases coverage the way a hunting dog chases prey.
The term is mildly disparaging, implying the attention-seeking is excessive or undignified: The press conference attracted the usual publicity hounds.
