pride of lions
Big cat group
A pride of lions is a social group of lions living together, typically consisting of related females, their cubs, and a small number of adult males.
Lions are the only cats that form such permanent social units.
The term pride emphasizes the collective nature of the group: A pride of lions rested in the shade.
Pride serves as the standard collective noun for lions, like a flock of sheep or a murder of crows.
