preboiled
Cooked in water
Preboiled describes something that has been boiled before packaging, sale, or further preparation.
Preboiled eggs come already hard-cooked; preboiled pasta needs only reheating.
The term appears most often with foods but applies to anything requiring boiling as a preliminary step: preboiled syringes for medical use.
