post box
Curbside mail container
A post box is a public receptacle for depositing outgoing mail, typically a freestanding metal container on a street corner or mounted to a wall.
The term is more common in British English; Americans usually say mailbox.
Post box also refers to a rented compartment at a post office for receiving mail.
