peacock feathers
Eyespot display plumes
Peacock feathers are the iridescent tail plumes of male peafowl, distinctive for their eye-shaped markings in blues and greens.
They're used decoratively and symbolically, representing vanity, beauty, or in some traditions, bad luck when kept indoors: She arranged peacock feathers in a tall vase.
The "eyes" have made them talismans against the evil eye in some cultures.
